Mechanism of effect
Stragol drop is designated to affect quickly by entering into the bloodstream. The combination of herbal extracts synergistically
affects cardiovascular system, dilates the vascular system. Prevents the formation of atherosclerosis and keeps the coronary arterial system dilated, also, regulates heart beats .
The hydroalcoholic extract of vaccinium myrtillus fruits is a powerful antioxidant , it has antiatherosclerotic and vasoprotective activities. The content of anthocyanins in this extract have also been reported to inhibit platelet aggregation through the inhibition of TXA2formation.
The hypolipidemic activity leads to a decreasing effect on blood lipid levels. Moreover, the antioxidant activity prevents the oxidation of low density lipoproteins that affect the vascular pathology (1).
Capsicum has been found to induce fibrinolytic activity and simultaneously cause a hypocoagulability state (2).
The use of crataegus in hypertension, atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia is well – documented. The active principles are procyanidins and flavonoids, which cause an increase in coronary blood flow due to dilatory effects, resulting in an improvement of myocardial blood flow.
The cardiotropic effect of crataegus is said to be caused by the increased membrane permeability for calcium as well as the inhibition of phosphodiesterase with an increase in intracellular cAMP concentrations.
Increased coronary and myocardial circulatory perfusion and reduction in peripheral, vascular resistance were also observed . Many studies have demonstrated Garlic to have an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation.Ajoene is the antithrombotic compound that inhibits fibrinogen receptors on platelets(3).
Garlic may decrease systolic blood pressure in the elderly by reducing the amount of cholesterol deposited on the blood vessel linings(4).
Plaque formation in the common carotid and femoral arteries was reduced significantly following the treatment of 280 subjects having advanced atherosclerotic plaque formation, with Garlic(5) .Powdered Ginger significantly inhibited platelet aggregation in a
placebo – controlled study of 20 patients with coronary artery disease(6) .
The extracts of Chamomilla and Salix alba have analgesic and antispasmodic effects which are suitable for decreasing the arterial spasm
